Evernote : This application is simple to use, efficient and its adfree. It is the most used note application on playstore.
Google Keep: This is actually the app i used while typing this. It is also simple, adfree and has many features resembling that of the evernote with google support features like transferring your notes to google doc and you can easily share it with your gmail.
Colornote : It doesn't have the myriads of functions the evernote and google keep boasts of but nonetheless, this app delivers beautifully. And it has the simplest interface of all the applications on this list
